auren's House is a medical day health center and is licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Center (PPECC). The medical day health center is an integrated, multi-faceted service delivery model where special needs children are afforded physician prescribed services including nursing, therapy and special education in a socially appropriate, developmentally stimulating, and medically safe environment. These services are in lieu of costly hospitalization.

And in addition, medical day health services can be utilized in lieu of or as a complement (wrap-around) to private duty nursing in the home. Lauren’s House targets children from birth up to eight years of age who have skilled medical/nursing needs either acute or chronic in nature.
